Pichwai is a traditional Indian painting style originating from Rajasthan, these artworks are depections of Lord Krishna's life particularly his playful childhood. Pichwais are renowned for their vibrant colours, fine detailing, and devotion to preserving ancient techniques.

I'm over the moon with this exquisite quilt, or in this case, coverlet! The subtle color choices and the way they're arranged--seemingly at random, yet beautifully balanced-- is a work of art. I loved discovering details like the strip of border fabric that changes to a different pattern half way around and the occasional line of lighter running stitches. The seller was a joy to communicate with, tirelessly answering questions and sending extra pictures. I plan to repeat the experience!
